Safer streets and neighborhoods

Our Police Department needs the tools and resources to battle gangs and criminals who prey on hard working citizens. We must target high crime "hot spots", creating a high profile presence that will help bring down the crime rate in those areas.

In addition, I believe we must work to empower our neighborhoods with a coordinated "neighborhood watch" program in our districts. Using current technology, neighborhood watch groups can form and create strong crime fighting alliances.

As informed communities, we can, along with law enforcement, strive to clean up our neighborhoods.
