Dear Neighbor,

My name is Liza Normandy, and I am running for South San Francisco City Council this November 2013.

I am running for City Council because like you, I love this city and I want to ensure that South San Francisco remains the best city in which to live, work, and play.

With potentially four seats open during this election cycle, it is important that we have experienced community leaders elected to keep our city moving forward.

I intend to use my experience serving as a two-term South San Francisco School Board Member in order to "hit the ground running" at City Hall. I will bring my perspective as a working professional, wife, and mother toward protecting our unique quality of life in South San Francisco.

As a City Council candidate, my top priorities include:

• Public Safety - Ensuring that police and fire services have the resources they need to protect our neighborhoods;
• Fiscal Responsibility - Investing your tax dollars wisely;
• Business Development - Re-energize the Grand Avenue area and attract new companies east of Highway 101;
• Quality of Life - Enhance community programs that keep seniors and children active and healthy.
