My position on Pro-Choice/Pro-Life

By Kate Mac Kay

Candidate for Council Member; City of South San Francisco; 4 Year Term

This information is provided by the candidate
You are either pro-choice or anti-choice. Saying you are pro-life, while you stand between a woman and birth control, is like saying you are a vegan, while you eat a steak.
I am pro-choice. When I was single and pregnant, I chose life.

One is either pro-choice or anti-choice. The opposite of pro-choice is not pro-life. Many who are pro-choice chose life. No one is pro-abortion. To be pro-abortion, one must feel that abortion is the most desirable option. I have yet to find a single person that finds abortion desirable.

If you stand between women and birth conrol, you increase the number of unwanted pregnancies. Since we know that half of those are aborted, you are increasing the number of abortions. You cannot legitimately claim to be pro-life, if this is your practice, any more than you can legitimately claim to be a vegan, while you eat a steak.
