Community and Opportunity

To me, San Carlos represents community and opportunity. As residents, we volunteer our time in the classroom, on the sports field, and in countless other civic activities to make San Carlos more than just a city, but a thriving community. It's a place where people come to live, raise their families, and build lifelong friendships.

At the same time, we have access to the limitless opportunities of the Silicon Valley economy, and our outstanding schools offer our kids great educational opportunities. Living in San Carlos allows us to dream big dreams, while staying connected to our families, friends and neighborhood.

Protect our Community and Make Smart Investments in our Future

Change is inevitable, but it doesn't have to mean unsightly development, increasing crime, worsening traffic, or parking meters on Laurel Street. As your City Councilman, I will fight to keep our town safe and liveable, with great schools, and a thriving community. I'll make smart decisions that keep San Carlos fiscally sound and protect our community values for years to come.

Efficient and Accountable Local Government

I believe that government should be efficient, open, and accountable to residents. I support performance-based budgeting that lets residents know the goal of every dollar spent on their behalf. As our Councilman, I'll look for ways to save taxpayer money and keep our city fiscally sound.

Support High Quality Schools

As a parent, I know that investing in education is an investment in our children's future. That's why I worked to pass Measure H. San Carlos has great schools and I will do everything I can to support them. I'll improve collaboration between the City and School District for planning and shared use of facilities, and I'll look for creative ways to support education in San Carlos.

Smart Economic Development

We need smart economic development that's consistent with community values. As the Chairman of the San Carlos Economic Development Commission, I have helped bring focus to the City's economic development strategy. As your Councilman, I'll champion initiatives that bring revenue into the city to pay for schools, parks, and public safety, give residents great employment options, and provide places to shop and enjoy with friends and family.

Keep Residents Safe & Secure

Residents have a right to feel safe and secure, whether they are out in the community, in their own homes, or walking to school. I will work to maintain our excellent public safety record, be vigilant against home burglaries, and support traffic safety enforcement around our schools.

Enhance Parks & Public Spaces

In our parks, residents form lasting bonds with one another and kids make friends and learn teamwork. I support improving and expanding our parks and collaborating with the School District to increase access to athletic fields.

Environmental Stewardship

San Carlos should continue to set the standard as a green city that supports clean air, safe drinking water, and lower greenhouse gas emissions. I support the ban on single-use plastic bags, reducing runoff into the Bay, and will work on the City Council to make San Carlos a responsible steward of our natural environment.
