This information is provided by the candidate

Name: Reuben D. Holober

Occupation: Biotech Industry Employee

Education and Qualifications: B.A. University of Washington.

As a lifelong Millbrae resident, I am blessed to have been shaped by a caring community. I want to ensure that our city stays that way for generations to come.

I attended local public schools and graduated from Mills High School. I served on the Sister City Commission and interned for Representative Tom Lantos. I work for a growing local biotech company.

My top priority is careful budgeting to keep public safety services strong. The city needs to encourage businesses to locate in Millbrae. Properly designed redevelopment near the train station is key to attracting businesses + creating jobs and increasing city revenues to fund parks, youth and senior services. We should collaborate with neighboring cities to share overhead costs while keeping frontline firefighters working for us.

My late mother Nadia Holober served as Millbrae Mayor, and as a City Councilmember for 11 years. My father Richard was a Millbrae School Board member and now is a San Mateo County Community College District Trustee. My parents instilled in me the value of public service. As your councilmember, I'll work hard to preserve Millbrae as a great place to live and raise a family.

I respectfully ask for your vote.
