Smart Voter Official Statement for Steve Hoffman

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Sunnyvale; Seat 2

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Chief Executive Officer
Age: 49
Education and Qualifications:
We have a rare opportunity this year. The Sunnyvale City Council Elections provide an opportunity to form a council majority who has not accepted money from those who do business with the city such as developers, and city employee unions. A chance to shape a council composed of people of integrity and ethics in the way the council operates.

I am not accepting special interest money, because I strongly believe that council members should represent the residents of Sunnyvale, and not outside interests contributing money for their election.

I am not a career politician, and I am not using this election as a stepping stone. I just want to help guide Sunnyvale back to the path it was on. I strongly believe in transparency in our government and in the resident's right to a council that not only listens to our concerns, but takes steps to act in our interests. No longer should we be subject to a governing body that claims to have an open door, but only listens with a deaf ear.

Ultimately, you will determine what kind of government will take us into the future.
