Campaign Statement

By Daniel J. "Dan" Hillmer

Candidate for Council Member; City of Larkspur

This information is provided by the candidate
I believe my leadership experience is an asset to the Larkspur City Council.
As a City Council member, I pledge to continue to work with our community to meet the challenges facing our fair City including:
1. The protection of our residents, natural setting and hometown character. Improve Disaster preparedness training.

2. Working with adjacent communities, schools and neighborhoods to reduce traffic congestion while repairing our roads and bridges. Work with San Rafael to connect NB101 to EB580 at the Richmond San Rafael Bridge.

3. Protecting our Fiscal Stability in the face of rising costs. Explore opportunities for revenue generation for maintenance and improvements.

4. Improving Community facilities including City Hall, a new Library/Community Center, the Downtown Fire Station.

5. Providing opportunities for seniors to live and remain in our community.

6. Adapting to the impacts of climate change by:
- improving water quality.
- moving toward zero waste.
- combating global warming by reducing/shading pavement.
- reducing vehicle miles traveled.

Larkspur is a special place for families and wonderful for children. It has a great mix of people from all backgrounds and age groups. It has great neighborhoods and schools, a "hometown" downtown and a world class scenic landscape.

Let's work together to protect and improve our City.

Everyone wins with a shared vision for the future.
