Are you satisfied with the failure of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District Board to find new water for the Peninsula?

For nearly 40 years, our water bills have gone sky high, including property tax surcharges to fund project costs we the ratepayers did NOT approve with elections. And now we are facing further restrictions + no, you can't have that extra shower put in your home + and rationing of only 35 gallons per person per day on Jan. 1, 2017. Without water, our $3 billion hospitality industry and our property values will plummet. You need someone who will seriously consider achievable alternatives, not spin in circles and charge ratepayers for the ride.

You need someone who can apply common sense in representing the community.

As a Realtor for more than 30 years, I know how to run a business and provide solutions.

I graduated from Monterey High School (Student Body President) and Monterey Peninsula College, and studied business administration at CSU-Sacramento. I have also been President of the Monterey County Association of Realtors (Realtor of the Year in 2007), and served on many committees. I am married, have one son, five stepchildren and 11 grandchildren. I am also a volunteer for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament.

As a former board member of MLS Listings Inc., a multibillion-dollar corporation, I know how to make the tough decisions on large budgets and how to successfully implement projects. Thus far, our water board members have not listened to the ratepayers, and they have virtually rubberstamped wasteful spending on failed projects, while restricting the ability of residents and property owners to have water.

Frustrated like everybody else about our lack of effective representation by water board members, I am committed to representing all of us in protecting property values, and in finding (quickly) a secure and reasonably priced water supply project so your families can live here and your businesses can continue to exist. That means economic security and jobs for all of us, and our children will be able to live on this beautiful Peninsula, too.

I will work with the community, Cal Am and other agencies to resolve issues to benefit our community.
