Public Safety / Programs / Bring Business Back into SFS

By Annette Rodriguez

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Santa Fe Springs

This information is provided by the candidate
Increased Public Safety; Additional Programs for Seniors, Parents and Youth; Bring New Business/Restaurants into Santa Fe Springs.
Safety is very important to me - I want to make sure our seniors, parents and children are safe. A little girl just lost her life in Santa Fe Springs. How did this happen? And, could it have been prevented?

I want to increase programs for all our residents. We deserve the best. Let's work toward positive programs that stay within our budget. I have chaired many programs and am very familiar with budgets and how not to exceed them. We need to use the resources we have and be creative and work toward a common goal.

I want our seniors to know that I care about your needs. I want to be responsive to all your ideas, suggestions and issues. I have worked extensively with our seniors in the organizations that I'm involved with. I have the utmost respect for our history makers in Santa Fe Springs.

Daycare Services: I want affordable daycare services. Our parents have to work, so, they need to know that their children are safe while they are working. Daycare is very expensive. I want to work on "Affordable Daycare" for our working parents. I don't want latch-key children - our children are the future - let's work on making sure they get the best after school programs possible. No child gets left behind. Not on my watch!

I want to see Santa Fe Springs flourish. Let's entertain new business back into Santa Fe Springs. Let's bring in new restaurants for our families. These are issues I would like to work on.

Santa Fe Springs - you mean everything to me. Please give me four years to show you what I can do for our city.

Thank you very much! Annette Rodriguez
