Background:

"I attended SWIS in South Whittier, then went to Sierra High School (before it was closed).

Studied at East Los Angeles College, Rio Hondo College, Physics Major: University of New Mexico. Biblical Studies: (Diploma of Ministry) Regency Bible College.

My Husband and I have worked side-by-side in the Christian Ministry for over 25 years. We have supported our church ministry work by establishing an educational & management consulting firm.

My husband has served as a Trustee at Rio Hondo Community College (1987-1991), and has represented our Greater Whittier Community on the Whittier Union High School District Board since 1991. Ralph is presently serving an unprecedented 5th term as School Board President.

I originally began my involvement in the South Whittier School District as a parent 25+ years ago. I served on a number of District & School Site Committees. I was a candidate for appointment to the South Whittier School Board in 1990. I was honored to be elected to the South Whittier School Board in November, 2001. I was re-elected in 2005. I served as Board President in 2005. My second term expired in December, 2009.

In 2009, I did not file for reelection to the school board on medical advice. My physicians were determining my medical condition. I am presently active with my husband in the ministry, management consulting firm, and in the equally important work in our non-profit foundation.

In 2013, I learned that the person I endorsed for my seat on the School Board in 2009 was stepping down after one four year term. Threfore, I feel prepared to return to the very seat I held four years ago.

I'm energetic, and with a determination I shall represent the "best interests" of our children in South Whittier. "All things are possible through God!"

I am confident upon my return to the South Whittier School Board I can begin "building" confidence in our schools among the parents, teachers, and staff.
