2013 + Overall District Academic Achievements
College-Readiness
- 1,542 high school graduates in the Class of 2013
- Increased Graduation Rate
- Greater California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) passage rates
- Increased the number of 9th graders with credits on track for college-readiness
- Increased the number of college-ready students who enter 2 and 4 year colleges and universities
- Increased the percentage of 12th grade graduates completing all courses required by UC and/or CSU acceptance
- Increased student performance on college entrance exams, particularly the SAT
- Implemented a college-going culture beginning at pre-K
- Elementary schools have adopted colleges and taken field trips to colleges
- Programs such as Robotics and Solar Boats encourage students to be college-bound
- Gear Up (1200 students) and Bright Prospects (683 students) support student interest in college
- Increased Access to Advanced Placement classes for all students which is almost twice the State average
- Record number of students admitted to four year universities and colleges across the country and millions of dollars in scholarships
- Increased ACT and SAT preparation aligned with the school curriculum

- Armstrong Elementary, Lorbeer Middle, Diamond Ranch High, and Village Academy are California Distinguished Schools
- Diamond Ranch and Village Academy are listed among the top high schools in California in U S News and World Report's ranking of U S High Schools
- Pomona High is an AVID National Demonstration School
- National Academy Foundation schools at Fremont Academy of Engineering & Design, and Palomares Academy of Health Sciences
- Curriculum is designed and certified by the National Academy Foundation
- Both completing 12th grade this year and will graduate their first high school class
- All high schools accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) with the most recent being Park West, Pomona High, and Village Academy receiving 6-year terms, the highest accreditation possible
- MyCS (Computer Science) elective courses at Golden Springs and Lorbeer

- District-wide API and AYP continue on upward trajectory
- Student proficiency continues to increase as measured by District-wide and State assessments
