Smart Voter Official Statement for Scott Hung Pham

Candidate for
County Supervisor; Santa Clara County; Supervisorial District 2

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Local College Instructor
Age: 49
Education and Qualifications:

For 15 years I was a small business owner who had to deal with tax and regulation issues. In the last 10 years I have been a public service professional and a college instructor who are members of different public employee unions, which allow me to appreciate their needs.

As a former school trustee (Alum Rock SD) I have had ample experiences dealing with community members, union members, lawyers, accountants and other specialists. My board membership on the Budget Advisory Committee equipped me with tools to deal with budgetary challenges.

Despite tremendous health and financial challenges, I was able to obtain a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and a Juris Doctor from University of San Francisco (Law).

I have been either a volunteer or a member of the following non-profit organizations: San Jose Evergreen Community College District Chancellor's Community Advisory Committee, La Raza Roundtable, San Jose City College Campus Technology Committee, and Lien Doan Cu Tri Nguoi Viet.

I am a proud product of the following local public schools: Yerba Buena/Andrew Hill/Piedmont Hills High Schools, Evergreen Valley College and San Jose City College.

I feel your pains and am asking for your vote to move this County forward again.
