Smart Voter Official Statement for Patricia Martinez-Roach

Candidate for
County Supervisor; Santa Clara County; Supervisorial District 2

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Schoolteacher/Mother/Consultant
Education and Qualifications:

I'm a public school teacher with 39 years of experience. I became a single mom at a very young age finding out how difficult it is to have adequate child care, health insurance and make it financially. I worked two and three jobs to support my sons. I never gave up.

I don't have all the answers, but my 26 years as an elected official, will provide the experience needed to work for you. I became involved as a concerned parent and teacher. I will fight for what is right and for you.

The District Attorney and Sheriff's office need to have all the support needed in this growing county faced with crime and social problems. Mental health issues are on the rise and Valley Medical Center needs necessary resources. We need better transportation and protect our environment.

We must change how we elect our representatives. I don't believe we should depend on donations or endorsements. If you get a negative mailer about me with lies and mistruths, don't be fooled. If you want change, I'm your supervisor.

It would be an honor and privilege to serve you. Vote 6/4/13 http://www.patriciamartinez-roach.com
