JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
1. It is simple- judges must follow the law not make it. I have been instructing attorneys, law and college students for over twenty years in the Rules of Evidence (which govern all areas of the law), trial tactics and the Constitution. In 2010 the Pennsylvania District Attorney's Association gave me an award for my "exemplary service" in teaching thousands of attorneys. I also teach at West Chester University. In every class, I start with the Constitution. "We the people..." means that we the people are providing the right to our Government to govern not the other way around. The Judicial branch was set up as a part of a system of checks and balances. If a Judge exceeds that authority, you have an unchecked branch of government.

2. Everyone who comes into a courtroom is upset about something. The obligation of a judge is to provide a calm, experienced guiding hand to those who come before the court and then to make a fair well reasoned decision after listening to all sides on an issue.

3. Every Judge must follow the golden rule + treat every person the same way you would like to be treated - with dignity and respect.
