Why Bill Deserves Your Vote

For over two decades, Upper Providence's Bill Clinton has been fighting for families in Delaware County: creating stronger businesses and non-profits, providing greater opportunities for our children, and bringing efficient and open government to his community. Now, Bill Clinton wants to bring that same passion and experience to Delaware County Council, to ensure your tax dollars are working for YOU.

Bill Clinton was elected to the Upper Providence Township (UPT) Council in 2005 as the first Democrat to serve on the Republican controlled council since 1972. Bill was re-elected in 2009. On the UPT Council Bill has been effective in bringing to the Council a broad range of community perspectives on open space, pedestrian safety and the effects of development. Bill led the development of more fiscally responsible budgeting process. Bill's focus is on understanding and meeting the future needs of the community.

As a founding member of the Southeast Pennsylvania First Suburbs Project (FSP) in 2007, Bill has worked across party, county and municipal boundaries to stabilize and revitalize the older developed communities in Eastern Delaware County and along the Delaware River. FSP is a regional, non-partisan coalition of faith based institutions, municipalities and civic organizations that engages citizens in shaping state and federal policies that impact their communities and the entire region.

Bill is a faculty member of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he is responsible for developing, directing and teaching in the Organizational Development and Leadership (ODL) masters program which helps students develop the ability to successfully lead organizational change. Bill also works as a consultant who coaches leaders and groups to better improve organizational results to grow their businesses.

Bill is experienced as a leader of change. The challenges facing Delaware County are many - from economic development and jobs to the safety of our communities. We need the ideas, commitment and energy of all of our communities and residents. It is time to end one-party rule of County Council. It is time to make our Delaware County government a two-party democracy.
