My name is Murph Wysocki, and I am a candidate for Tredyffrin Township Supervisor at Large. My wife, Lois, and I have lived in the Deepdale neighborhood of Tredyffrin for 36 years. Our daughter, Dana, attended T/E schools here. I truly appreciate the strengths of Tredyffrin Township, including its excellent schools, beautiful neighborhoods, dedicated volunteers, and first-rate police, firefighters, and EMT's. Yet, I believe we have not realized our full potential and need new leadership to move forward.

As your supervisor, I would strive to bring vision, leadership, and the determination to move ahead on long-delayed plans and projects. Local government should not only be expected to provide sound fiscal management and the effective delivery of basic services. A strong police department, well-maintained roads and public infrastructure, open libraries, and welcoming playgrounds are only a part of a supervisor's responsibilities. We can do better.

I believe that our supervisors must lead to expand the tax base through economic growth. Tredyffrin is ripe for the smart redevelopment of its existing commercial areas, starting with the long stalled Paoli transportation/town center project. Redevelopment of dated commercial spaces can improve tax stability, enhance property values, and create a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly Paoli for all Tredyffrin taxpayers. Redevelopment can mean new life for Chesterbrook's shopping center area and, with Easttown, a reinvigorated Berwyn. Economic growth means more local retailers and restaurants+amenities that will help make Tredyffrin an even more attractive place to live and work.

Tredyffrin taxpayers deserve better.

I have the experience to make smart redevelopment and economic growth a reality. As a commercial real estate attorney with more than 35 years of experience in structuring and closing large transactions, I understand project budgets, complex financing, and what it takes to bring people together, get things done. After 24 years as a partner in the Real Estate Department at Saul Ewing LLP, I retired in December, 2011. While I continue to serve as Of Counsel at Saul, at this point in my life, I would like nothing more than to serve the Tredyffrin community that has given my family so much.
