Questions & Answers

1. As the demographics change in your township, how do you plan to provide for basic services?

With a four point approach:

1. Engage our state legislators to help secure viable alternatives to unaffordable, locally funded public projects.

2. Provide for fair and equitable public service contracts that will continue to ensure safe neighborhoods, well maintained roads, and responsive emergency services.

3. Continue efforts to preserve open space, as well as park and recreation development, by partnering with outside organizations and state agencies to help with funding.

4. Stabilize Taxes. Township taxes have increased dramatically in the past six years, which is not sustainable. We need to encourage retail and professional business development, especially in hard-hit areas. Stable taxes will give residents a bit more to spend in the community, which in turn will create new jobs.
