? 1. How would you promote good nutrition in your schools?

Answer from Betsy Ruch:

By encouraging use of locally grown food; we have changed cafeteria providers; provide more healthy alternatives

Answer from Josh Gould:

We have worked over the last year and continue to work to improve the quality of foods sold in our cafeterias. That is important, but even more important is the regular emphasis throughout the students' schooling on the benefits of healthy living and good nutrition. Most important of all, parents have to be involved in this aspect of their children's lives. Nutrition can be (and is) taught in schools but it will be learned most effectively at home.

Responses to questions asked of each candidate are reproduced as submitted to the League.  Candidates' statements are presented as submitted. Direct references to opponents are not permitted.

The order of the candidates is random and changes daily. Candidates who did not respond are not listed on this page.
