Smart Voter

I am a fan of transparency and parent involvement.

By Nancy Lee (Thomas) Crowder

Candidate for School Director; Baldwin-Whitehall School District; Democratic, Republican Party

This information is provided by the candidate
One of our chief responsibilities is to maintain two-way communication between the board and students, employees, parents, taxpayers and the community.

I would like to see our School Board Meetings video taped and put on the web so that parents and taxpayers can view them at their convenience.

I am a current member of the PA Department of Education Committee for the PA School Performance Report Card.

The new online PA District State Report Card will be available soon. This will not only affect our students/parents but will also affect each of our buildings and be a part of the new Teacher's Evaluations Program.

The new report card will contain:

  • Building level measures as part of the Educator Effectiveness System

  • Inform the public of the performance profile of each district, school, comprehensive career and technology center, cyber charter and charter school in Pennsylvania in the following areas:

  • It will eventually include not only Academic information but Student Safety and District Fiscal information as well.

It will be similar to what is offered at http://www.openpagov.org/
