I've spent countless hours in my home district in the San Fernando Valley visiting different neighborhoods and listening to the concerns of our residents to better understand what the people of CD 6 need from a representative. People are understandably frustrated with government and simply want more than a band-aid approach. We need jobs because financial stress at home carries over to children, family, friends, schools, community, and health. Without clear priorities and goals for our district and its future, repeated failures loom ahead.

I understand the leadership needed in order to guide our community, district, city, and economy forward. We need an international trade plan to create jobs. We need better schools for our kids. We need redevelopment plans to foster growth. We need healthcare exchange education. We need beautification programs to improve safety. We need stronger advocacy for animal protection and welfare. We need equal rights agendas for all, regardless of immigration status or identity. These are the causes I will support as city councilman.

I will utilize my history of working in the public sector to bring the change Van Nuys, Lake Balboa, Panorama City, North Hollywood, Encino, Arleta, Pacoima, and Sun Valley deserve. In conjunction with developing future projects, I will directly tackle current issues like fixing potholes, cleaning up blight, and fighting fraud and abuse in city government. Innovating city hall and reducing the red tape is the key to holistically improving CD 6, which will allow small businesses to reach their full potential. As a city councilman, I'll make our district a top destination for international trade to grow small businesses and increase jobs while cutting unnecessary wasteful government spending, so that we can invest in our children.

My wife Sandra is a school teacher and has taught me a lot about what can help and what can hinder the much needed improvements to our education system. I want to empower our young learners with the skills they need to succeed in the real world and to provide more job placement centers and technical training facilities for the jobs needed today. Our community also needs strategies that strive for a better tomorrow by focusing on clean energies and green technologies.

However, changes moving forward have to make sense to the community. Future projects and current issue solutions need to involve the people of CD 6. We elect representatives to lead, but also to listen. By instituting an open door policy for all good ideas, together as one, CD 6 can strengthen the San Fernando Valley with excellence in education, health, and economic growth. I look forward to putting constituents first and having these discussions as your representative for CD 6.
