Brian Munroe is a resident of Warminster Township in Bucks County. When he was 17 years old, he joined a fire company as a firefighter / EMT. Brian joined the United States Navy at the age of 20 and served aboard the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt. During his service, Brian was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Armed Forces Service Medal, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal. Brian started his career in law enforcement in the weeks following the horrible events of 9/11, where he served the residents of Radnor Township for over 10 years as a police officer, 6 of those as a police supervisor. He was also the recipient of commendations from both Mothers Against Drunk Driving and from U.S. Representative Curt Weldon.

Brian has been married to his wife, Natalie, for 8 years and has two daughters, ages 4 years and 11 months. He is surrounded by teachers in his family, including his wife who has taught high school for six years.

Brian Munroe has decided to run for State Representative of Pennsylvania's 29th district to bring a sense of compromise and common sense to Harrisburg. He believes his life experiences equip him to better represent the people of the 29th district.

Brian has been concerned as Harrisburg has made drastic cuts to vital investments. Funding to our schools and environmental agencies have been slashed while gas companies are given significant tax breaks and our State government continues to be one of the most bloated and expensive assemblies in the country.

After watching gridlock and partisan stubbornness grip our Commonwealth, Brian feels it is time to work for the greater good, reaching across the aisle and writing legislation that will gain the support of both parties and help move our government forward again.
