Perry Hamilton is running for State Representative to ensure our principles of fiscal restraint and practical problem solving are represented in our State Capital. Born in Penn Wynne, Hamilton attended Lower Merion public schools until high school where he graduated from the Haverford School in 1970.

Having graduated from Susquehanna University in 1974, Perry returned to Lower Merion in the employment of the Industrial Valley Bank where he worked in credit management. After a brief but fruitful employment with the AMC-Jeep Corporation as a factory service and sales rep for dealers, Hamilton then joined a wholesale hardwood lumber distribution company as a territory representative for sales and credit risk management where he worked for 30 years. Perry managed marketing strategy, customer communications and contract negotiations in a large territory, and coordinated several company divisions serving a diverse client base. Having gained an understanding of businesses ranging in size from Fortune 100 companies to small privately-held enterprises, Perry wants to ensure that State Government is not an impediment to job growth and stability.

Perry served on the board of the Wynnewood Civic Association from 1989 to 1991. He rejoined the board of the Wynnewood Civic Association in 2003 and was honored to serve as President from 2003 to 2006; he is currently Vice-President. Perry has been an active member of the Men's Garden Club of Philadelphia, the Bachelors' Barge Club, and has been President of the Stony Lane Swim Club. Since 2005, Perry has served on the board of the Public Access Channel of Lower Merion and Narberth where he currently serves as Chair. A lifelong member of All Saints' Church in Wynnewood, Perry served several terms on the church vestry and has been a lay reader there for many years.

Perry is married to Betsy. They have three children and a son-in-law: Sarah, Victoria & Jim, and Perrin.
