Education
"By investing in our higher education system, we are investing in our continued economic development. With an increasingly competitive job market, people need the opportunity to train and learn different skills. By bringing back state dollars to local school districts and state universities, we can continue to provide that chance to get a degree. When the state lowers its financial commitment to our public schools, your local taxes are increased to compensate."
Environment
"Our environment is not just a resource, it's our responsibility. I believe that Pennsylvanians recognize the importance of protecting our air and water. While there may be an opportunity to produce more clean-burning energy in the form of natural gas, we must be responsible with this resource and hold companies accountable for their actions."
Infrastructure
"Our bridges and highways are in desperate need of updating and repair. Pennsylvania cannot compete for jobs and new businesses when our highways and roads are less efficient and costing businesses money over the long run."
