Larry DeMarco grew up in South Philadelphia with his parents, James and Linda, and his two brothers, James Jr. and Richard. Larry's parents instilled the values of hard work, personal integrity, and pride in one's community from an early age. Larry learned the importance of serving his community from his father who was a prominent lawyer, local community leader, and advocate for worker's rights.

After Graduating from Saint Joe's Prep, Larry went on to receive his bachelor's degree in English from Dickinson College where he graduated cum laude in 1990 with an award in excellence in religious studies. In 1993, Larry graduated from Villanova Law School then continued his education at Temple University where he graduated with an LLM (graduate law degree) in 2003. Shortly afterwords, he earned recognition for his work in defending and protecting the rights of sexual assault and crime victims.

In 2008, Larry DeMarco moved to Wallingford in Delaware County with his son, Thomas, where he was quick to get involved in the community by coaching his son's baseball and soccer teams. Larry is a board member of the Cohmar Organization, which focuses on the treatment and housing of patients with psychological and cognitive impairments and substance abuse issues. This organization teaches life skills to its patients in order to help them become independent and productive members of society.

Larry's passion and dedication for serving the public along with Governor Corbett's draconian budget cuts and corporate special interest agenda has compelled him to seek to represent the people of Pennsylvania's 161st district. Larry will fight for our citizens and restore balance to Harrisburg.
