By Anne M. Chapman, M

Candidate for State Representative; Pennsylvania State House of Representatives; District 31

This information is provided by the candidate
1.Prevailing wage laws are driving up the cost of public projects. 2 State Pensions are going to bankrupt our state. 3. We need to get out of the retail business and sell our state stores. 4 .We need to attract the best and brightest physicians to our state. 5. We need to protect our children from disruptions in their education.
1.We need to end prevailing wage laws which drive up our costs on public projects anywhere from 25-35% and disadvantages small companies....this is our tax money being wasted.

1. We will experience a 26% increase in state worker pension and benefits payout in the next 2-3 years which can potentially bankrupt this state or reqire more taxes. We need to revise the pension and benefit programs for new state workers and teachers and make their benefit programs more in line with the private sector, where they contribute at least 25% for their healthcare.
3. Sell the state liquor store system to reduce the budget and gain needed revenue by selling the stores and the licenses. The state can also issue new licenses and have access to further revenue and annual renewals.
4. We need to reform malpractice laws for physicians as the escalating costs is driving up the cost of healthcare and driving physicians to more favorable states. 5 We need to protect our children...teachers and other public servants should not be permitted to stike.
