Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Louis W. "Bill" Blessing, III

Candidate for
State Representative; District 29

This information is provided by the candidate

I am Pro-Life and my Ohio/Cincinnati Right to Life endorsement reflects that. I believe that life begins at conception and I will fight for the rights of the unborn.

I am Pro-2nd Amendment and my Buckeye Firearms endorsement reflects that as well. It is clear to me that, between the Bill of Rights and the Federalist Papers, the Founders of this great nation meant for her citizens to be armed.

I believe that it is the private sector, small businesses in particular, that drive the economy and represent the rugged individualism that makes this country great. They create the jobs, the wealth, and the products and services that make our lives that much better than previous generations.

I believe that government has strayed from its founding principles. Its scope needs to be greatly reduced, not expanded. It needs to stop spending at its current rate as it is unsustainable and has led to, as of this writing, $16 Trillion in debt. It needs to stop taxing businesses to death and crippling them with excessive regulations. It needs to become more transparent. Lastly, the government needs to return to its role as referee instead of its current role as benefactor.
