CHAIRPERSON OF THE CONEJO RECREATION and PARK DISTRICT Possesses proven leadership skills and relevant experience improving fiscally responsible management of our State and nationally awarded parks, facilities, trails and open space. Achieved acquisition/preservation of Historic McCrea Ranch. Added open space, multiple parks, sports fields, community center, equestrian facilities, and the Goebel Senior Center.

MY CONTINUING GOALS Meet community requirements guided by 2011-2015 Conejo Rec and Park District Strategic Plan, Conejo Valley Attitude Survey, and Needs Assessment + while operating within State budget constraints. Build on collaborative working relationship with the City of T.O. and the CVUSD. Strengthen prudent, accountable management of reduced budget and entrusted Public assets. Promote recreational, fitness and educational programs: that are fun, develop self-esteem and a feeling of accomplishment. To remain actively involved with our great community.

APPLICABLE EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS Rec and Park Board since 1990, Vice Chair Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Committee, Chair of Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority Board, Past Pres. Ventura County Special Districts Association, County and State LAFCO Commissioner. Member Percent for Art-Arts Commission, Teen Center Authority. Member National and State Parks-Recreation societies. YMCA Corporate and Branch Boards. Pacific Lodge Boys Home Board of Directors.

OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICE California Lutheran University: Scandinavian Festival, Community Leaders, Mathews Management Forum. Conejo Future Foundation. Kiwanis International: Kiwanian of The Year, Sponsored Youth Division Chair, Key Club and Circle-K advisor, Conejo Valley Days Parade committee. AYSO, Little League, Bobby Socks, Thousand Oaks High Boosters, and other.
