I have designed many projects across the north bay. In Sebastopol I designed the following:
  • Garzot Duffield Community Building next to Brookhaven School
  • The Solar Dragon at Spooner Park
  • Woodstone Village on Village Way
  • 820 Gravenstein Hwy So. Office & Residential mixed use
  • 509 South Main Street Office & Residential mixed use
  • Habitat for Humanity Homes on Litchfield Ave.
  • Concept design for The Barlow on Morris Street

I have the following degrees: M.Arch UCLA 1986, MFA Boston University 1978, BFA Boston University 1975

I am the proud mother of sons Nick and Andy Katchmer 25 & 21. They attended all schools in Sebastopol, played many sports particularly football at Analy all of which I attended proudly.

I am the daughter of an Army Col. and lived all over the US before settling in the No. Virginia area where I attended high school. I worked summers in DC and upon graduation from BU with a Master of Fine Art degree taught at Bunker Hill Community College for 3 yrs. I moved to Los Angeles and attended UCLA where I obtained a Master of Architecture degree. I was licensed in 1990 and have specialized in Green Affordable and Entry Level housing. I moved to Sebastopol in 1990 and established my own firm in 1995.

I have spent the last 8 years working at the National AIA on various boards promoting affordable housing and knowledge sharing. I have spoken at conferences across the country on issues of green/sustainable housing and accessible housing. I have taught Sustainable Design at SRJC.
