I'm Joel Engardio and I'm running for supervisor because City Hall likes to ban toys in Happy Meals but can't fill potholes. Where's the common sense? We paid to fix those potholes twice -- first in taxes and then a bond.

Where's the accountability for our money?

Vote Joel Engardio #1 on your ballot if you want fiscal sanity at City Hall. If you don't want your house to be the city's ATM. If you're tired of the same old candidates from the same old political machine.

I'm an independent choice for supervisor. I'll be your advocate. I support neighborhood schools and parks with trees, and getting basic services like street repair right. I'm a successful business owner who believes in streamlining City Hall to make it easier for small businesses.

I will work to apply the public policy lessons that I learned at Harvard. I earned a Master in Public Administration on full scholarship from the Kennedy School of Government.

My journalism background will make me a watchdog at City Hall. We must audit every program, measure for results, and pay for only what works.

The San Francisco Chronicle calls this website `smart.' My campaign uses the same innovation and cost-effectivesness I will bring to City Hall.

I will work for you, not for the special interests that back the other candidates. I am your common-sense candidate.
