This information is provided by the candidate

Zach Miller is running for the Grossmont Union High School District Governing Board because he understands the underlying problems in our education system.

As a junior at San Diego State University and a graduate from the district's El Cajon Valley High School, Zach Miller knows what a student needs in order to learn, both inside and outside of the classroom. Teachers and students have unique perceptions about education; Zach Miller believes that a district's governing board should reflect those perspectives. This district's board has contained many teachers; it is time for a student to serve.

When elected, Zach Miller's main goal is to see that teachers and students receive the resources they need to teach and learn, respectively. Zach Miller wants to see more honors and advanced placement courses offered at each school and an increase in student enrollment in these classes. He wants to ensure that each school has adequate resources for AVID courses as well. As a member of the board, Zach Miller will do his part to ensure that the limited funds of the district go toward the individual needs of each school and are not wasted.

Vote for Zach Miller for more effective schools, decreased drop out rates, and higher test scores district-wide.
