Everything and everyone matters. We should elect people from our community with demonstrated competence, integrity, and leadership to make responsible decisions on how to manage our shared resources. Our leaders should listen to all points of view and take an educated, long-range position on matters set before them. Our leaders should be able to sift fact from rhetoric and build coalitions around solutions. Our leaders should maintain an honest and open perspective on matters of fact. Our leaders should have no driving agenda, ego, or objectives jamming the wheels of progress.
