I am a candidate for the Escondido Union Elementary School District because I want to make a positive change in the education of all students in our district.

Escondio Union Elementary is in need of new leadership so that we may be better prepared for the challanging budget that we face and the student achievement gap of our students. I beleive in student accountability at all levals. From the top administrators, teachers, staff and students. I am a fiscal conservative and know budgets from my own experience as a business owner. I support elementary and secondary school unification for efficiency and better program coordination. I believe that a fresh perspective is needed to move our school district in a positive direction and that the School Board must make a serious inquiry about how to move our district from a non-performing to a performing district.

As an Escondido resident and business owner, I have a great interest in improving our school district. The overall health of our schools has an impact on our businesses, property values, and community. Every Escondido citizen should be interested in making our school district the best it can be.
