Smartvoter.org visitors, please note, this is my "Statement of Qualifications" I am just starting to construct these pages and will add more later. Thank you for visiting!

Three events qualify me for City Council: 1) 1997 I was invited to be Dean of the only California approved institution of higher education based in our City, the California Institute for Human Science, where I continue to teach Integral philosophy and integrative sciences (incorporating my PhD in physics and former work with NASA).

2) 1998 I purchased one of the first homes in CFD#1 (Mello-Roos district) + the Encinitas Ranch Development, Mendocino subdivision which continues to be my residence, where I have been elected to the HOA board since 2007, and president since 2010.

3) 2010 The City Council passed a resolution for a reserve fund for the Encinitas Ranch Golf Authority, which was developed in conjunction with the CFD#1 homes, Leucadia Boulevard, and the commercial center. That action impacts the annual taxes of nearly 1,000 homeowners. Since early 2011 I have been on a "Leadership Committee" including HOA presidents and the City Manager investigating that situation.

My goal is to bring a fresh integrative-rational perspective to City Council that puts the interests of residents, homeowners and taxpayers first! To guide development of Encinitas, better integrating our tremendous resource of the natural environment, into a unique worldclass city.
