Candidate for Council Member; City of Escondido

I want more aggressive enforcement of immigration laws and would aim to restore Escondido's small-town ambiance and community cohesion.

I would work with our local law enforcement department on making our streets and our city residents safer from persons that are not legally licensed, and/or who are uninsured, and/or who are intoxicated - under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

`Citizens of Escondido for Road Safety' (CERS) stand for enforcement for all our laws, not just traffic laws. We should join together and address this issue. Traffic Safety Checkpoints may not be the entire solution to this issue, but it's a necessary beginning.

Escondido City streets have long been ignored. Too little has been done to make our streets safer to drive or even walk on, while crossing the street.

Escondido has many senior citizens that have Disabilities that make it difficult for them to cross at intersections with potholes in their paths + especially if they are in a wheel chair. OUR SENIORS NEED HELP! Painted crosswalks should be looked into for safe crossings at the Escondido Senior Center and other unsafe locations.

I also would like to look into cleaning up our parks and having activities for our younger citizens to be able to come and enjoy our beautiful parks with out fear of undesirables lurking there and making them feel uncomfortable as well as unsafe.
