Smart Voter Official Statement for Juliet Tiffany-Morales

Candidate for
Board Member; Campbell Union School District

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Education Researcher
Age: 41
Education and Qualifications:
I have had the privilege of serving on the Campbell Union School District Governing Board since March 2008 and would be honored to continue to serve. Our school board, district administrators, teachers, and staff are working as a team to protect the quality of our children's education during a time of significant reductions to school funding. Fiscally responsible decisions and community partnerships have preserved existing programs, supported struggling students, and provided ongoing opportunities that go beyond testing, such as our annual writing faire where students publish and display their own writing, and musical theater productions at every school.

Each year I visit our schools to understand the issues and meet with parents to listen to their concerns and ideas for improving our schools. As a Spanish speaker, our Spanish-speaking families communicate with me about their concerns. Through my experiences as an education researcher and a district parent, I have seen the impact a well-run school district has on the quality of education students receive. I am deeply committed to continued fiscally responsible decision-making while providing the opportunities our children deserve - an education that inspires, challenges, and nurtures them to be tomorrow's leaders and well-educated citizens. Thank you for your vote.
