Occupation: Business Owner
Age: 55
Education and Qualifications:
As a candidate for Milpitas City Council, I am asking for your vote because I believe my experience as Chair of the Milpitas Planning Commission, President of the Milpitas Rotary Club, Board Member of Milpitas North Little League and community volunteer give me a balanced perspective of our city. Those experiences and my dedication to our community will enable me to promote an atmosphere of cooperation and consensus as we face the difficult times ahead.

My top priorities will be Public Safety, Promoting Economic Opportunity for all City Residents, and working closely with our local schools to provide quality education and opportunities for all our children.

I will work tirelessly to ensure that our city government is transparent and open, that the City's resources are used wisely and efficiently so that we can maximize services and minimize the burden on taxpayers.

I am grateful for the endorsements of Supervisor Dave Cortese, Milpitas Vice-Mayor Pete McHugh, and former Mayor Henry Manayan. Please visit http://www.MarkTiernan.com for a complete list.

Thank you for your consideration, together we can make sure that Milpitas remains a great place to live, work and raise a family. Please vote for Mark Tiernan for City Council.
