Occupation: Santa Clara Assistant Chief of Police
Age: 51
Education and Qualifications:
California State University and FBI National Academy Graduate

I am a Santa Clara resident and homeowner. I have been honored to serve the community of Santa Clara for the past 27 years, spending my entire law enforcement career with the Santa Clara Police Department. I began as a Police Officer, was promoted to Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and to my current position as Assistant Police Chief. I pledge to continue to seek out excellent community programs by supporting youth programs such as P.A.L. and D.A.R.E. I am committed to keeping an open dialog and positive partnership with our public and private schools to keep our children safe. I will listen to our senior citizens and address their needs. I am very supportive of our Neighborhood Watch and want to increase our involvement with a Business Watch program. We could not be a safe city without the partnership of our citizens and businesses.

All former Police Chiefs since 1975 have endorsed me: Manny Ferguson, Frank Vasquez, Charlie Arolla, Steve Lodge and Chief Kevin Kyle. As Chief, I pledge to keep an open dialog and continue the long standing tradition of honest and ethical law enforcement in Santa Clara to best serve our community.
