Board Member; Moreland School District

Education and Qualifications:
The current Board of Trustees appointed me to the board of Moreland School District 18 months ago. During the process, the Board took time to interview 7 other potential candidates - all with ample credentials and a desire to advocate for kids. This is what I told the Board at that time:

I have broad experience with serving on boards and leading teams. I spent 8 years on the Board of Goodwill, including two years as Board Chair. I served 10 years in the US Army, retiring as a Captain. In my current job, I work with a number of for-profit and nonprofit boards. I have a finance background, which helps in today's environment of decisions with significant economic considerations. Ultimately, I care about this community and want it to thrive for my neighbors and my three children.

In the last 18 months, we have hired a new Superintendent and a new Assistant Superintendent of Business Services. We have been through 2 budget cycles and started the planning process to address the growth of the district. Moreland has an excellent team of staff, teachers, and administrators. I am excited to participate in keeping the momentum moving forward. I would appreciate your support!
