This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Professor/Administrator/Scientist
Education and Qualifications:
Los Altos is at a crossroads. It can and must become more commercially vital. This is a realistic goal accomplished by making our community both a vibrant destination and maintaining her lovely charm. Using best practices in city planning, we can become a bike-friendly model of green, sustainable living for all generations.

Together, we can create a fiscally sound plan to structurally renew and integrate the Civic Center and connect it to downtown. I aim to strengthen our schools with appropriate resources and cultivate the contributions of our seniors in a worthy community center.

I have a common sense approach to leadership that relies on evidence for problem solving, inclusion and transparency in decision-making. As a university professor and administrator, I have a record of innovation made possible by creative public-private partnerships.

Most recently, I guided a two-year enterprise to have Los Altos designated an Age-Friendly City by the World Health Organization, the first in California. I am a member of the Senior Commission, a faith community, Los Altos Chamber of Commerce and Los Altos Village Association. It would be an honor to serve on the Council and help lead Los Altos to a better future. http://anabelpelham.org.
