Education and Qualifications:
Since you first elected me to the Board of Trustees of the East Side Union High School District, I've been working hard to balance our much reduced budget, maintain a safe school environment, and improve academic achievements for all our students. I've continued to support curriculum that helps students prepare for college and get the jobs of the future such as the Magnet programs, Advance Placement (A.P.) classes, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. As a result, students at all of our high schools have improved their tests scores. More of our graduates have entered college than at any time before.

Because of my commitment to our students and my accomplishments, I am endorsed by the East Side Teachers Association and Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) throughout the district.

If re-elected, I will continue to work hard to: provide our students with the support they need to succeed; eliminate the student achievement gap; prepare our children for college by strengthening our curriculums in science, math, English; ensure fiscal accountability by effectively managing our funds; attract and retain dedicated teachers with training and support; and ensure school safety with collaboration among teachers, parents, and community.
