Occupation: School Board Member/Accountant
Education and Qualifications:
I'm a parent who cares about every child's education. But as a local school board member, I have a unique vantage point to view the work of the Santa Clara County Board of Education. This is clear: we need change and more fiscal responsibility.

As our schools fight for every last dollar to keep teachers in our classrooms, the County Board of Education spent nearly $300,000 on the new Superintendent's salary, the highest ever. It's this type of failed fiscal leadership that prompted me to run.

I serve on the Berryessa Union School District Board. My professional experience as an accountant has helped me balance our budget every year, even during the most challenging times. We have avoided deep across-the-board cuts and I have worked to ensure teacher excellence in our schools.

On the County Board, my priorities will be to:

Ensure student excellence in all school districts,

Safeguard taxpayers' money, and

Prepare students to compete in a global economy.

As residents of Santa Clara Unified, Berryessa Union, and Milpitas Unified School Districts, I respectfully ask for your vote.
