Occupation: Independent Small Business Owner
Age: 35
Education and Qualifications:
After graduating from Santa Clara University with a degree in economics, my wife, Kristen and I made Santa Clara our home. It is a wonderful community to raise our three children, John, Amelia and Paulina who attend local schools. I grew up in a home where "giving back" was important and serve our community through Rotary, our Chamber of Commerce and many other ways.

In my professional life, I have helped hundreds of local families survive the impact of the recession. As a small business owner, I know what it takes to tighten our belts, make payroll and pay rent. I will use these skills to balance our budget and rebuild emergency reserves.

Our future depends on supporting local businesses and creating jobs, while preserving our small town character. Silicon Valley Power is the envy of other cities and I vow to keep our rates low.

I am proud to be endorsed by a majority of city council including Mayor Jamie Matthews, Patricia Mahan, Kevin Moore and Patrick Kolstad; former city manager Don Von Raesfeld; retired Police Chief Manny Ferguson and Assessor, Larry Stone. To learn more visit http://www.JohnMlnarik.com.

My passion for Santa Clara is unwavering. Thank you for your consideration.
