Education and Qualifications:
BS/MS Engineering, Caltech, UC Berkeley; Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Project Manager, Sales Manager, Engineer; Palo Alto Family YMCA Board Member; School Site Council Member, PiE (Partners in Education Foundation) School Chair, 1000 Hearts for 1000 Minds Volunteer (MOUSE Squad at Crittenden Middle School), Science is Elementary Volunteer at Castro Elementary School. I have over 18 years of experience in customer-focused high tech problem solving, financial budgeting, and contract negotiations.

My work on the county board has included oversight of the $260M budget, hiring and setting goals with our new superintendent, and promoting collaboration among the 31 school districts in Santa Clara County that support over 260,000 students and 13,000 teachers. I am passionate about all of our children's well-being and have visited many county programs such as Head Start, schools for the severely disabled, alternative high schools, and juvenile correctional facilities.
