Education and Qualifications:
My name is Rajeev Madnawat. I am an attorney, engineer and volunteer. I was selected Milpitas Citizen of the Year 2012. I am a long time Milpitas commissioner; and I am currently a Planning Commissioner.

I pledge to be your true representative and will protect your tax dollars from wasteful spending. I will bring public employee salaries in line with revenues and industry. For the benefit of both the City and the employees, I will work to bring employee pensions to sustainable levels and avoid layoffs. I will work to lower Milpitas' long term debt and will avoid increasing water and utility rates. I will ensure budget cuts do not reduce public safety and quality of life. I will oppose cuts to services to senior citizens and hillside development.

I value education greatly. I am actively involved in many education related causes. I will work closely with School Board to improve educational opportunities for kids and involve School Board in new housing development and traffic management around schools.
