Smart Voter Official Statement for Bonnie Mace

Candidate for
Board Member; Evergreen School District

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Parent/Events Director
Age: 51
Education and Qualifications:
Children and families are my top priority. Evergreen students deserve an excellent education with small class sizes, quality teachers, and access to 21st century technology and libraries. Our students need a safe learning environment. I support responsible fiscal policy and will use my long experience building community partnerships to bring more resources into our schools.

My husband and I have lived in Evergreen since 1997; my two children attended our schools. Since moving here, I have continuously helped our schools as a parent volunteer and active member of two school site councils, parent advisory committees, bond oversight committee, and Evergreen Elementary Education Foundation. My experience includes District 8 Community Roundtable President, San Jose Redistricting Commissioner, and San Jose Housing Commission Chairwoman. I currently lead educational events/programs at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.

Endorsements: Supervisor Dave Cortese; Evergreen Elementary School District Trustee Jim Zito; East Side Union High School District Trustees Frank Biehl, Van Le; San Jose Councilmembers Sam Liccardo, Nancy Pyle, Judy Chirco; Santa Clara County Board of Education Members Leon Beauchman, Craig Mann; Silicon Valley Leadership Group President/CEO Carl Guardino; Pattie Cortese, Pat Waite, Cecil Lawson, Steffanee Taylor, and other community members.

I respectfully request your vote. Website: http://www.bonniemace4evergreen.com.
