Occupation: Patent Attorney/Scientist
Education and Qualifications:
Mountain View is the epicenter of the world's most dynamic region, attracting far flung, hard-working talent. Even with our fast growing wealth of resources here, it's a challenge to deliver a top notch education to all our diverse students.

As your board member I will help advance math and science education, foster parent involvement in our K-8 schools, and tightly manage district financial resources to make the tough choices for the best possible outcomes.

As a former research chemist with a PhD from Caltech and 17 years with Bell Laboratories, I am a committed supporter of math and science education. At Mona Loma Elementary I am a long-time PTA member and volunteer teacher for advanced math and science enrichment.

I actively volunteer in our rainbow community at the Day Worker Center, at the Fresh Lifelines for Youth, and am a graduate of Leadership Mountain View.

Having regularly attended MVWSD board meetings for the past two years as an Observer and a member of the Education Committee for the League of Women Voters, I have actively informed myself about issues facing our elementary schools. I will hit the ground running ... for our children.
