Smart Voter Official Statement for Bryan Cong Do

Candidate for
Board Member; Franklin-McKinley School District

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Entrepreneur & Father
Age: 38
Education and Qualifications:
Education has the power to transform life!

Most of what I have accomplished has been possible through the education that I have received from our public schools here in San Jose--from elementary to college.

In a few short years, my little toddler will be entering elementary school at Franklin-McKinley. I want to do everything I can to provide my child and all the children in our community with the best possible education in a safe and nurturing environment.

To accomplish this goal, we must provide our teachers with the necessary tools and training. We must prudently administer our tax dollars and ensure that a system of accountability is in place.

As an entrepreneur, I have successfully managed large budgets. After serving two terms on the San Jose Library Commission, I have gained a much broader and deeper understanding of the challenges faced by public institutions such as our schools in these trying times. Through these experiences, I will be a strong advocate for giving our children the best start for the world of tomorrow. However, I can only accomplish this if we work together. I respectfully ask for your vote.
