Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Benjamin T. "Ben" Cogan

Candidate for
Santa Clara County Open Space Authority Director; District 4

This information is provided by the candidate

I have a strong passion for America. The Issue is America. I am taking a look at Open Space Authority in the Campbell area. I will represent you the way a true representative government should. Inform the community and listen to the people. It is apparent to me that we are in a spider web of corruption. The media workers are not journalists. We have been taken advantage of by big bankers and filthy corporations. The country is 16 trillion in debt and we are in a recession.

It is critical that the role of government is always looked at. That is why we vote and elect people every 4 years. This was the founders plan. That is why there is a constitution of United States of America. It needs to be respected, things have gone off track.

What is Open Space Authority? Open Space Authority was started in 1994. The idea is that urban growth threatens the environment and the land needs to be preserved to open space. Open Space Authority taxes people in the form of property tax to acquire funds to buy land. They are using tax dollars to by land. Is that the role of government? According to http://www.openspaceauthority.org , "Santa Clara County Open Space Authority is an independent special district, rather than a part of county government, and is governed by an elected board of directors." So the question is do you want an independent special district using your tax dollars to buy land?

This is where I come in. My name is Benjamin Cogan. I am 29 years old. I am a Boy Scout of America Eagle Scout. You need accurate representation to see what is going on. I believe in property rights and I believe the environment. I respect the constitution. I question any agencies buying land with taxpayer's dollars. Further more, Open Space Authority has attracted many interest groups, businesses, originations, and special contributors. To take someone's land for someone else's gain is steeling, if for a special agenda or for profiterring is lying and extremely unacceptable. I am the only one on the ballot not involved in Open Space Authority.

I would like to represent you for Open Space Authority. I would like to ask questions and give you the authentic information. I would like to bring up the conversation of Open Space Authority. I would like to analyze spending and projects as well as Open Space Authority. How should we spend money? Can we accomplish the same goal with out using taxpayer's money to buy land? We are in debt, money is tight. Property rights are important for the survival of this country. This is my first time in office and I hope you vote for me. I have no loyalty to any party, group, or interest. My loyalty is with the people of Santa Clara and the Constitution

Sincerely,

Benjamin T. Cogan

I do not like; The Patriot Act, NDAA (please look up), SOPA PIPA CYSPA or anything that threatens the internet, Free Speech Zones, The corrupt Federal Reserve

Please watch youtube video THRIVE it is non political but explains the monetary spider web.

Please youtube Ron Paul Speech at any college. UC Berkley 8600+ people attend and cheers the whole time. Compare it to media's repetition of him. Rubublican National Convention prevented voting on him.

Hypothetically I am not opposed to putting community gardens all over Santa Clara because it is the taxpayer's money buying the land. It may be more beneficial then a no trespassing sign. I am sure it is good for environment and community. It is a thought in progress and a 4 year term. Thank you for your time. =)
