Occupation: Business Attorney
Age: 41
Education and Qualifications:
I am running to ensure that your tax dollars and more hospital dollars are spent on you and our community's healthcare needs.

In May 2011, after investigating the El Camino Hospital, the Grand Jury made the shocking finding: "There is no one who is accountable to the District taxpayers as to how taxpayer monies are spent."

Although the El Camino Hospital's healthcare professionals and staff provide excellent care, the publicly elected leadership of the hospital needs improvement. From 2006 - 2011, the El Camino Hospital taxed $110 Million from local taxpayers and only spent $14 Million on local community benefit programs. That's simply not enough, considering the hospital received $2.5 Billion in net patient revenue during the same period.

If elected, I would lead El Camino Hospital to spend more of your tax dollars on you, and give more community benefit dollars from the hospital's net patient revenue.

With 15-years of business, corporate, and nonprofit healthcare legal experience and 12-years serving on the Santa Clara County Planning Commission, I'm the right candidate for this job. For more information, please visit http://www.dennischiu.org. I would be honored to have your vote.
