Dennis Chiu is well qualified to serve on the El Camino Hospital District Board as corporate attorney, former nonprofit healthcare corporation executive, a current 12-year county planning commissioner, current Sunnyvale housing and human services commissioner, and former malpractice defense attorney.

Dennis was Vice President and General Counsel of AACI, one of the largest healthcare nonprofits in Santa Clara County assisting the API community, where he provided legal counsel, business operations management, and obtained healthcare funding for nonprofit medical services.

In 2003, Dennis was co-chair of the successful No on Prop 54 campaign in Santa Clara County that threatened the healthcare of all Californians by limiting patient information to doctors and hospitals.

Dennis' additional executive experience includes, serving as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at a technology corporation and start-up cosmetics company.

Currently, Dennis is the owner Prodigy Law, a Sunnyvale based law firm, specializing in providing nonprofit and corporate legal counseling.

Dennis was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was educated in public schools from K-12, and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science from UCLA in 1993. Dennis received his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1996.
